Backpack Drive 2015

School is almost out for the summer—and we are already preparing for the new 2015-2016 academic year—with our annual “Back-2-School” Backpack Drive! This year, we are again committed to “No Student Left Behind” in our community. We would truly appreciate your support and partnership of this commitment to ensure that the low income and at risk children in our community have the opportunity to begin the school year with a new backpack filled with school supplies. Your generosity will give these students such a terrific sense of pride and enthusiasm for the challenges that each school year brings, as well as the tools needed to for academic and personal success.
Please take a few moments to read the attached “Back-2-School” Backpack Drive list. We have separated the lists into two groups: Middle/High School students and Kindergarten through 5^th grade students. We will happily begin accepting donations on July 20^th until August 6^th. A heartfelt “thank you” in advance, for joining our “2015 No Student Left Behind” campaign.      
 
With your encouragement, we are able to continue our mission as a nonprofit Family Resource Center in Contra Costa County, dedicated to providing nutritious food, education, general assistance and referrals, through dynamic service programs to low income and at risk families and individuals in our community, as well as providing paths to independence and sustainability. Over the past year, with the help of hundreds of volunteers and donors, we distributed food, enough to provide one million meals to those most vulnerable in our community.
